Treasure Trove, the debut solo exhibition of new works by New York-based artist Bradley Parsons, will open at Chaos Contemporary Craft on Friday, August 7, 2026 in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The exhibition features ceramic sculptures and analog collages made from discarded, recycled, and found materials. 

In his unique practice, Parsons pulls from his vast library of damaged picture books and salvaged clay detritus gleaned from the beaches of NYC. Dense layers of meticulously hand-cut paper media or expertly reclaimed and refinished ceramic ephemera create new scenes, narratives, and objects. Playful, humorous, and unlikely narratives emerge from the fragments as they re-relate and respond to each layer of found material. 

A whimsical feast for the eyes, no theme is untouchable for Parsons. The nostalgic motifs and materials highlight the innocence of childhood, the idolization of memory, and the absurdity of traditional societal expectations. Parson’s drive to organize the chaos and find beauty in the wasteland provides the viewer with an opportunity to discover, connect, and be transported into a wild, lush new world.

Bradley Parsons holds a BFA from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. His work has been shown at The International Museum of Dinnerware Design, Kingston, NY, Kleinert James Center for the Arts, Woodstock, NY, and several galleries and art spaces in and around New York. He has been published in Cut Me Up Magazine, and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
